Joe Offutt

Joe Offutt currently holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Budo Taijutsu and a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He is the Chief Instructor at the Mount Airy dojo. His son, Jake, currently trains as a First Degree Black Belt at the Westminster dojo. Mr. Offutt has a Masters Degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education. Prior to working at Tristar, he taught in the public school system as a Physical Education teacher with a specialization in Adaptive Physical Education for 12 years.

Before the Mount Airy dojo opened, Mr. Offutt worked as both a Program Director and Instructor in the Eldersburg and Westminster dojos. Our students at Tristar receive the benefit of the vast experience he acquired during that time. He is very flexible in meeting the needs of all of our students.
